Ivy Lambert

NOTE: Ivy Lambert passed away in late 2009. Her obituary is here.

Ivy Lambert is our resident artist, who on short notice will produce renderings in pencil, oil, pastel, what-have-you to supplement our articles, though more often than not her work outshines our meager wordplay.

She has been drawing since the age of five, when her mother gave her a pencil and a piece of paper with the admonition, “Get out of my hair.”  Ivy started with flowers, and graduated to the horses and avian menagerie on her grandparents’ farm.  She excels in capturing an animal’s personality, which accounts for the uncanny accuracy in her portraits of Montag, Gert, and Nelson.

Ivy’s dream is for one of her pictures to go into space.  Her favorite author is Joseph Conrad.
